Blockvase Privacy Policy
Blockvase is a series LLC of Happy Robot Shop. This policy explains how Blockvase handles information from the website, checkout, account portal, order administration, transactional email, and device-related platform features at blockvase.com. The Happy Robot Shop studio Privacy Policy also describes studio-wide practices.
1. Information We Collect
During checkout and account use, we collect information you provide, including name, email, phone number, shipping address, billing address when provided, account password hash, order details, fulfillment status, tracking number, and support-related communications. Checkout requires acknowledgement of the Blockvase Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy; we record that acknowledgement with the checkout/order customer record, including acceptance timestamp and policy version identifiers.
For Bitcoin orders, we store the invoice address, quoted BTC/sats amount, invoice status, transaction IDs, received amounts, confirmations, payment-mismatch records, and related timing so we can detect payment, handle mismatches, and fulfill or refund orders.
We also collect technical information such as IP address, user agent, timestamps, CSRF and session metadata, and server logs needed for security and operations.
2. Payment Information
Card details are handled through a third-party payment provider (currently iPOSpays / Freedom To Design merchant processing where configured) and are not intended to be stored as full PAN or CVV by Blockvase servers. We may store processor responses, transaction references, refund status, card brand, last four digits where returned by the processor, and payment status needed for order records and support.
Bitcoin transactions are public on the Bitcoin blockchain. Information such as addresses, transaction IDs, and amounts may be visible publicly and cannot be deleted from the blockchain by Blockvase.
To quote BTC amounts at checkout, we may retrieve live market-rate data from third-party price APIs such as Coinbase, Kraken, and CoinGecko. Those requests are operational market-data calls and are not intended to transmit your checkout identity to those APIs.
3. Device and Platform Data
The hosted Blockvase website may display Bitcoin network, mempool, block, node, and mining-related data. If a Blockvase device or relay is configured to send data to a Blockvase service, we may receive operational data such as node identifier, block height, sync status, peer count, mempool size, transaction details, health signals, raw JSON snapshots, and timestamps.
The local dashboard on your device is intended to run on your own network. Your local node, wallet, network configuration, and mining setup may reveal information to your own network, internet provider, mining pool, Bitcoin peers, or third-party services depending on how you configure and use the device.
4. How We Use Information
We use information to operate checkout, create and manage accounts, process payments, confirm Bitcoin invoices, fulfill orders, validate shipping addresses where available, send transactional emails, provide customer support, detect payment issues, protect the site, debug services, improve the device platform, and comply with legal obligations for Blockvase and Happy Robot Shop.
5. Sharing and Service Providers
We share information with service providers only as needed to operate Blockvase, including:
- Payment processors (card tokenization and settlement)
- Amazon Web Services SES for transactional email (for example order and settlement notices)
- Hosting, database, TLS, and infrastructure providers
- Shipping carriers and optional address-validation services (including USPS APIs where configured)
- Bitcoin network peers and related open-source node/mining software ecosystems you choose to use
- Support, logging, and security tooling
We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights or safety, to enforce our terms, or in connection with a business transfer. We do not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA.
6. Cookies and Sessions
The account portal uses cookies or similar browser storage to keep you signed in and protect authenticated areas (including a Blockvase session cookie). Your browser may also store normal site data such as visited links, preferences, or cached files. We do not use third-party advertising trackers on the Blockvase checkout experience.
7. Retention
We keep order, payment, fulfillment, and account records as long as needed for operations, support, refunds, accounting, security, and legal compliance. Bitcoin receive addresses and transaction records may be retained to prevent address reuse and to preserve order integrity. Operational logs are retained as needed for diagnostics and security.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including HTTPS, hashed passwords, session controls, and limited access. No system is perfectly secure, and you are responsible for keeping your account password, local network, Bitcoin wallet, and device configuration secure.
9. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of personal information where required by applicable law. Some records may need to be retained for order history, security, accounting, dispute handling, or legal reasons. Blockchain records cannot be altered by Blockvase.
10. Children
Blockvase is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.
11. International Transfers
Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where Blockvase, Happy Robot Shop, or service providers operate.
12. Changes
We may update this policy as the product, checkout, account portal, or platform changes. The Last Updated date above shows when this version was revised.
