Blockvase Terms & Conditions
Blockvase is a series LLC of Happy Robot Shop. These terms apply to the Blockvase website, checkout, customer account portal, device software resources, and Blockvase hardware. By placing an order, creating an account, or using Blockvase services, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
1. What Blockvase Is
Blockvase is a series LLC of Happy Robot Shop and offers a physical Bitcoin infrastructure device designed to run a Bitcoin Knots node, a local DATUM gateway, mining-related services, and a local dashboard. Blockvase is not a bank, exchange, custodian, broker, investment adviser, money transmitter, or financial adviser. Happy Robot Shop studio terms at happyrobotshop.com/terms.html may also apply to studio-wide services.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to purchase Blockvase or create a customer account. You represent that your use of Bitcoin, mining, and related software is lawful in your jurisdiction.
3. No Financial Advice or Mining Guarantee
Information shown by the Blockvase website, mempool dashboard, Bitcoin node, and mining tools is provided for operational and educational use. It is not financial, legal, tax, or investment advice. Bitcoin mining is probabilistic and depends on network conditions, pool or solo-mining configuration, hardware conditions, power, connectivity, and other factors. We do not guarantee rewards, profitability, block discovery, uptime, or future software features.
4. Orders, Payment, and Shipping
Orders are accepted through the Blockvase checkout. Prices, availability, shipping timing, taxes, and shipping costs may change before an order is accepted. Card payments are processed by a third-party payment provider (currently iPOSpays where configured). Bitcoin invoices must be paid as one full payment to the address and amount shown during checkout before the invoice expires.
If a Bitcoin payment is underpaid, overpaid, late, sent to the wrong address, sent on the wrong network, or otherwise does not match the invoice, manual review may be required before fulfillment, cancellation, or refund. Market-rate quotes used for BTC invoices may be averaged from third-party price sources and can change until the invoice is locked.
Shipping destinations, carriers, and customs rules may limit where we can ship. You are responsible for providing accurate shipping information and for any duties, taxes, or import requirements outside our control.
5. Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellation options may depend on payment status and fulfillment status. Card refunds, when available, are processed through the card processor. Bitcoin refunds, when available, are processed manually and may require you to provide a valid refund address. Network fees, exchange-rate movement, and transaction confirmation timing can affect the final amount and timing of a Bitcoin refund. Unless required by law or expressly stated at purchase, we do not guarantee refunds after shipment has begun.
6. Device Setup and Use
You are responsible for safe setup, power, network configuration, updates, and operation of the device. Use Blockvase only in a safe, ventilated environment and in compliance with applicable laws, building rules, electrical requirements, and network policies. Running Bitcoin or mining-related services can consume bandwidth, storage, electricity, and generate heat. Do not use the device in a way that creates fire, electrical, or network-security hazards.
7. Open Source and Third-Party Services
Blockvase may include or link to open-source software, Bitcoin network software, mining software, third-party documentation, payment processors, market-data APIs, GitHub resources, Google Sheets, USPS or other shipping tools, and other services. Those services and software may have their own licenses, terms, fees, policies, risks, and availability. We are not responsible for third-party outages, policy changes, or license obligations you undertake by using those tools.
8. Accounts and Security
Customer accounts are created during checkout so you can view order status and manage eligible shipping details. Your checkout email becomes your account login unless otherwise stated. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for notifying us if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
9. Acceptable Use
You may not misuse checkout, payment, account, or device-platform features, including attempting unauthorized access, payment fraud, address spoofing, abusive automation, or interference with Blockvase infrastructure.
10. Intellectual Property
Blockvase and Happy Robot Shop names, logos, designs, documentation, and proprietary software remain owned by Blockvase, Happy Robot Shop, or their licensors. Open-source components remain subject to their respective licenses.
11. Disclaimers
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, BLOCKVASE HARDWARE, SOFTWARE, WEBSITE, CHECKOUT, AND RELATED SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, UNINTERRUPTED OPERATION, OR ERROR-FREE PERFORMANCE, EXCEPT FOR ANY WRITTEN WARRANTY EXPRESSLY PROVIDED WITH YOUR PURCHASE.
12. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST BITCOIN, MINING VARIANCE, NETWORK FEES, DATA LOSS, DOWNTIME, THIRD-PARTY SERVICE FAILURES, OR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS RELATING TO A PURCHASE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO BLOCKVASE FOR THE ORDER GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Blockvase and Happy Robot Shop from claims arising out of your misuse of the device or services, unlawful use of Bitcoin or mining tools, or violation of these Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise. Subject to mandatory consumer protections, exclusive venue lies in the state or federal courts located in Hays County, Texas.
15. Changes
We may update these terms as the device, checkout, account portal, or platform changes. The Last Updated date above shows when this version was revised. Continued use after posting means you accept the updated Terms, except where law requires otherwise.
